YAP Italia cerca 4 partecipanti e un group leader per lo youth exchange dal 21 Luglio all'11 Agosto in Germania sulle tematiche della sostenibilità ambientale e l'inquinamento marino.

Il progetto prevede le attività di studio del concetto C2C (Cradle to Cradle) e una settimana di navigazione in mare sul veliero storico "Hendrika Bartelds"

LET'S SAIL TOGETHER 2018 - "CRADLE TO CRADLE"

Extra fee: 288 EUR

The aim of Let’s Sail Together 2018 is to raise an intercultural understanding among the participants from Italy, Germany, France, Poland and Turkey (26 people in total) and to make them realise how important it is to work as a team.

Another important part of the project is to raise awareness of the problem of waste and maritime pollution, participants will learn about the concept of Cradle to Cradle as a way of avoiding waste and they will try to identify solutions for possible waste problems on board of the sailing boat.

"Let’s sail together" project is about group work, ecology, understanding other cultures, sharing ideas, accepting different point of views, intercultural learning!

The project is divided into three phases:

• The first phase (21st – 29th July 2018)
  of the project is a seminar and it takes place in a village in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. This phase has a study part on ecological and environmental topics, they learn about the fishing for litter campaign as a useful and established approach towards cleaner seas.
• The second phase of the project (30th – 7th August 2018)
  is the sailing itself, the participants are on board and each one of them has certain tasks and responsibilities to keep the boat on track – even at night. Besides the necessary operational work on board of the boat, participants are asked to manage waste on the boat and to think about possibilities to avoid waste and maritime pollution, such as using things for other purposes that would otherwise be thrown away (Cradle to Cradle).
• The third phase (8th – 11th August 2018)
  takes place in the same village of the first phase. Here the participants reflect not only on their experience on board but also about the entire project and they create and write conclusions and feedback paperwork on the result of the project.

Participant requirements:

• Age: 18 - 30 years old.
• Fluent level of English to participate actively and communicate independently
• Interest on the topic of the project and active participation
• Rediness to accomplish different tasks on board, day and night, and work in an international team
• Previous experience in volunteering, group leading, facilitation is very welcome!

About the EXTRA FEE: Due to a characteristic location of the youth exchange, there is an extra fee of 288€ which will help us to improve the quality of the project. Acommodation, food, material, visits, activities are covered by the project
