Ergo is the Regional Authority for the Right to Higher Education and it works very closely with the Universities to ensure that the needs of students are met.
They provide University students with a variety of services, including financial assistance, residential accommodations, dining facilities, counseling and support, job and careers guidance etc.

MALE RESIDENCE HALL

The residence is 10 minutes away from the center by bike and is easy to reach since there’s a cycling lane. The zone is well served with supermarkets, pubs, pharmacies, and bus stops, even though Ferrara is small enough to be traveled easily by bike. The bus stops take you in front of the engineering department, to the city center, to the train station, and near the departments of biochemistry, mathematics, and jurisprudence. Lines 3 and 4 take you to the station, engineering department, and the center.

Room Prices: 
Single large bedroom with private bathroom: the contract starts from September 2023 to July 2024, costs 3,850€ including breakfast, heating, light, water, and wi-fi (fibra) usable from 01/09/2023 to 31/07/2024.
Bed sheets and towels are excluded from the expenses. Students have to bring their own.

Single small bedroom with private bathroom: the contract starts from September 2023 to July 2024, costs 3,500€ including breakfast, heating, light, water, and wi-fi (fibra) usable from 01/09/2023 to 31/07/2024.

Double room with outside shared bathroom: contract from September 2023 to July 2024, cost 2,750€ per person including breakfast, heating, light, water, and wi-fi (fibra) usable from 01/09/2023 to 31/07/2024.

The prices also include free access to the refectory and induction stoves, parking space, bike deposit, free access to the tv rooms with Sky, study rooms, library, ping pong room, and weight gym (every student has their own other than the ones already there). Wi-fi cost is included in the amount even in these spaces. There are also shared fridges on every floor and in the refectory.  The library is a public space so it’s possible to invite friends and girls.
As an extra fee, you can have meals if you decide to use the dining hall, if you don’t want them you can use the induction stoves independently. The cost of the meals will be shared as soon as possible, since is yet to be decided with the company that will provide meals for the canteen.
Dishware, cooking utensil, glasses, and mugs are not present. Students have to bring their own.
If you request a room cleaning, you’ll be charged 10€. The washing machine is 2.50€ for each use, same goes for the dryer.
The structure has a big park with two soccer fields, a basketball court, volleyball court, and a track field.

VERY IMPORTANT Rules of the structure:

- The access of female public in the rooms is strictly forbidden (the rule doesn’t apply to family members)

- After 11 P.M is requested silence in the rooms and shared spaces in respect for those who are studying or already sleeping

- Smoking in the rooms and/or shared spaces is forbidden

- Cooking in the rooms is forbidden

- It is possible to invite people external to the structure, like friends to study together and eat at the dining hall if they want, but it has to be communicated beforehand.

 -the structure is accessible 24 hours even in the shared spaces.

Payment by installments:

 First Payment: 500€ to confirm the room + 300€ per month for 10 months from October 2023 to July 2024 included for a total of 3,500€ for a Single Small Bedroom.

First Payment of 500€ to confirm the room + 335€ per month for 10 months from October 2023 to July 2024 included for a total of 3,850€ for a Single Large Bedroom

First payment of 500€ to confirm the room + 225€ per month for 10 months from October 2023 to July 2024 included a total of 2,750€ per person.*

 *The double rooms can become single rooms but the cost will be raised to 5,000€ all included since the rooms are huge.

 It is possible to have payment in installments with due dates in September, November, January, March, and May and eventually in July for every type of room. Once you deposit the first payment you are committed to pay the whole agreed amount, as the first fee is also used as confirmation of the agreement.

The contract is binding for 11 months or since you settle in, to redeem from the contract is requested the monthly payment for the unoccupied months or the deposit of the whole amount.

The proposed contract is called “hospitality”, every deposit is followed by a fiscal receipt, which is downloadable and assigned to the student.
